- Little man helped me find so many pieces of awesome driftwood for my projects that I'm planning on doing! If I don't use all of it, the wood can double as firewood, and yes...it makes the flame green.
- I'm talking to my Daddy A LOT more. Which I absolutely love. Normally we talk the most during football season, but it's been so nice conversing a lot more lately. Basically about everything and nothing.
- I've now had two
- The best quote came from my husband...today. He made some (apparently yummy) Sangria, and while doing something in the kitchen says to me..."I may be tipsy, but I'm a sailor...I know how to navigate." I forget what this was in reference to, rest assure, nothing sexual, but it was hilarious.
- I got a haircut and had an emotional breakdown....all in the same day. I mean, I literally had one of those "if-I-don't-cut-my-hair-right-now-I'm-going-to-pull-a-Britney-and-shave-it-all-off" moments. Intense. I know. There's a salon at the Exchange, that's extremely nice, and Hubby said is NEVER busy. So, I said, ok...today is the day, I will go cut it off. Well, they were extremely busy and I was in that "now or never moment" so I was determined. I drove around to find another salon and since the town I live in is extremely small I only had two options. I had a breakdown. I just cried and cried for a good 5 minutes. Like the puffy eyes, snotty nose, it's not pretty cry. Yeah, that was me...in my truck...being stared at by the locals that walked by. Don't mind me mister, I'm pregnant and just having a breakdown, no big deal. But I sucked it up and told myself, let's go. So I walked into the salon I was parked in front of and could not have been happier. The girl who cut my hair was AH-MAZING. She even reminded me of a friend from back home, who coincidentally cuts hair as well. But, 10-11 inches and bangs later, I'm liking my new look. Hubby loves it, but it's such a big change for me, that it's going to have to set in first and then I'll like it. Trust me though...I NEEDED a haircut. Besides, my hair grows SOOOOO fast, especially with the prenatals and all the vitamins I'm taking, so it'll grow back in no time.
- Potty training is going extremely well. Little man knows what he needs to do and I'd say 4 out of 5 times he goes potty in the big boy toilet. He wants absolutely nothing to do with his little toilet, so we use the big boy one. We're not out of diapers yet, but I'm letting it happen on his accord.
- Ok....so Hubby and I BOTH want to see Magic Mike, and good lord I cannot wait. I know all of my friends back in Florida have seen it (jealous!) and to add to disappointment, it is NOT playing in our small town movie theatre. Not even the drive in!! I mean...HELLO!!! I want to see Channing Tatum on a screen that big. But, for the time being...we shall settle on Brave. That way little man can have a night out too. I think the last movie I went to (in a theatre) was the final installment of Harry Potter. That was back in July 2011. Almost a whole year!! Whoa. I mean, don't get me wrong, I've seen a ton of new movies, but not in a theatre.
- Little Man has a new way of communicating. Yup. When we don't get to him fast enough to get him whatever it is he wants, he screams. At the top of his lungs. Ear piercing loud. I don't know where he learned it. I don't know why he does it. But goodness gracious I want it to stop.
Well for the most part, that was our week here in the PNW. I'm going to work on another account for photos so I can put more up and not just a select few that I have been. Any suggestions on that would be great! Have a fantastic week!!
**There are a lot of pictures here!! (19) Which is more than I usually put up. But I love them all!**
North Beach, Deception Pass State Park. (Deception Pass Bridge)
Not my favorite of me, but we don't have too many "family" pics.
This is hands down one of my favorites from yesterday!
Together, they will go on great adventures.
We needed to keep him busy....flour and his trucks. Bam.
